How is VHA different?
VHA is an all-volunteer organization that connects donor generosity with vetted, veteran-centric housing opportunities. We ensure that every dollar goes directly to nonprofit organizations with proven track records in managing and executing impactful housing projects. VHA is similar to a Community Foundation for veteran housing and aligned services.
How does Veterans Housing Alliance use donations?
100% of the donations we receive go directly toward supporting veterans’ housing initiatives. Donors can choose to direct their funds into one of three channels:
- Construction: New housing or rehabilitation of existing units.
- Programs and Services: Initiatives that promote independent living for veterans.
- Operations: Supporting organizations that manage affordable housing for veterans. We vet each organization and project to ensure funds are used effectively and transparently.

Are my donations tax-deductible?
Yes! Veterans Housing Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your donations are tax-deductible.
Can I choose how my donation is used?
You can designate your donation to specific areas, such as construction of new homes, supportive services for veterans, or operational support for housing organizations. This gives you control over how your contribution makes an impact.

Who qualifies for the housing assistance funded by Veterans Housing Alliance?
The housing organizations we fund use its own vetting process to ensure applicants meet the necessary qualifications. VHA reviews this criteria as a part of our vetting process for funding.
